Shannon Connolly, MD, was instrumental in inviting Assemblymember Ridley-Thomas. 54th Assembly District, to meet with our members on Thursday, June 23, 2016.
Members and guests met for dinner at the Courtyard by Marriott Los Angeles Westside, Culver City.
Dr. Connolly has shared follow-up observations regarding the evening:
I think it was a great opportunity to meet with the Assemblymember. Several people told me they thought it was a wonderful event.
The Assemblymember wrote an article recently published in the Huffington Post that basically summarizes the points he made about homelessness in California, and I think it would be a great read for our members–especially as a follow-up to his talk.
I think it would be great to encourage our members to get involved in the issue of homelessness in LA County.
