The meeting was called to order by President, Stacey Ludwig, MD. All of the participants were welcomed and there were 14 members in attendance. Executive Director Joe Kuns was also present.
The group discussed resolutions for the upcoming AMAM (Annual Meeting and Advocacy Meeting) conference. The group reviewed several resolutions, including healthcare access for immigrants, cervical cancer screening registry, food literacy, and payment equity, discussing whether to support, amend, or reject committee recommendations. Dr. Crespo’s resolution on immigrant healthcare access was identified for extraction and potential testimony, with Dr. Hiramuro agreeing to speak on her behalf. The delegation also approved minutes from their December meeting and the 2026 budget, which included funding for resident scholarships and member events.
The LAAFP Member Meeting Minutes from the December 13, 2025 meeting were presented by Dr. Ludwig. She requested a motion to approve the minutes as printed in the agenda. It was moved, seconded, and approved without objection. The 2026 LAAFP Budget was presented by President Ludwig, after a brief discussion she requested a motion to approve the budget, it was seconded and approved.
The 2026 January-February Treasurer’s Report was presented, and Dr. Ludwig requested a motion to accept the report. It was seconded and accepted unanimously. President Ludwig requested a motion to update authorized users and signatories for the Bank of California Business Checking and Vanguard Investment Accounts to reflect the current Executive Committee. The motion was made to authorize the removal of old signers and add President Stacey Ludwig, Secretary Treasurer Michelle Crespo, and Executive Director Joe Kuns as signers on all financial accounts. The motion was seconded and approved without objection.
Additional discussion included information about upcoming LAAFP social events, including a game night at CoinOp on March 15, 2026 and a meeting to be held at TopGolf with CME planned for May 30, 2026.
